Today's the Day

I've got a few minutes to kill before the we start loading up our equipment to head to the studio. Got new strings on my guitar, and my pedal board is all ready for recording. Can't wait to get recording now! Plus I left work early so that I won't feel rushed, which is always nice. Now hopefully the studio's lack of running water won't be too much of an issue.

Our First Blog!

Yes, Apathetic Drive is starting a blog! About time, since we're gonna start recording some songs tomorrow. We're packing up as we type in fact. We decided to keep a journal of our progress and/or failings. Hopefully we'll have some videos, pics and song clips in the next few months.

The Virgin Blog

Hello there blogging world. My name is Margo, and this is my first blog. I'm in a Colorado based band called Apathetic Drive. Myself and my Band Mates: Matt, Nate, and Tim, are about to embark in a recording studio adventure. We thought it might be neat to document it, and after much "discussion," decided that a blog would be an interesting format.....For future reference, "discussion" means 'a bout of small meaningless arguments between band members culminating in a final decision that could possible change at any moment, and most likely will not be carried in out in a timely fashion by all members of the band until another "heated discussion" ensues.' Hence, us living up to our band name.
It's all a bit nerve-racking, heading to the studio, that is. And when I'm nervous I sometimes pick fights with My Boys. So, a few weeks ago, I started a new meditation every morning which should allow me to control myself from having "heated discussions" while in a studio setting. I guess we will see if my new mantra has payed off in about 4 hours.
